Q:   Do I have to sign a long-term colocation contract?

A:   No. Server colocation at 2RAD is done on a month-to-month basis.

Q:   What hardware does 2RAD provide?

A:   The $295 a month colocation price does not include any hardware. If you wish to buy or rent hardware from 2RAD, please contact us for a quote.

Q:   What software does 2RAD provide?

A:   2RAD provides no software for your server.

Q:   Can 2RAD install software on my server?

A:   2RAD provides three (1) hour of installation for free. Additional hours are billed at $80 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments.

Q:   Can 2RAD help with my software development project?

A:   Of course! We have nine full-time programmers with experience in 28 different programming languages. We can do both fixed-bid and hourly work.

Q:   What does 2RAD mean when they say I get "20 Gigabytes per month"?

A:   20 Gigabytes is 20 billion bytes of transfer per month. You are not charged extra for spikes in bandwidth.

Q:   How will my server connected to the Internet?

A:   Every server is connected to a 10/100Mb ten-base-T auto-sensing switch.

Q:   How is 2RAD connected to the Internet?

A:   Currently we are connected to 4 different peering points using 4 different high speed connections for maximum redundancy. Your bandwidth is guaranteed, and our Internet uptime monthly average exceeds 99.98%.

Q:   How many email accounts can I have?

A:   As many as you wish to put on your server.

Q:   What about backup power?

A:   Each colocated boxes is placed on an Un-interruptable Power Supply (UPS). In addition, 2RAD posses a gas generator that can provide power in the event of a power grid failure.

Q:   Is 2RAD's server room environmentally controlled/secure?

A:   Yes. We monitor the temperature and humidity 24 hours a day. The server room is monitored by ADT Security 24 hours a day for illegal access. Each entry to the server room is logged by ADT software.

Q:   Do you offer a monitoring service?

A:   Yes. All of our colocation customers receive free network monitoring. Our RADMonitor software can not only monitor your server, but even a database driven webpage. Our technicians are notified immediately of any problems, and optionally you can be sent email or a text page whenever a problem is detected.
